HUMOR FROM THE PULPIT

I was inspired by our pastor to write something to Glorify God through Jokes from the pulpit..Truly if we allow the Holy spirit to move, everything can be use for God’s glory..Amen..Eto po yung una sa series ng Humor from the pulpit collection…

….isang barko ang nag lalayag sa dagat pasipiko ng walang ano ano ay isang ice berg ang kanilang nabangga..(sounds familiar..hehehe) ..napasama ang bangga kaya’t nag abiso na ang kapitan na abandon ship..lahat ay nagkagulo..kanya kanyang takbo…hanap ng life vest..life jacket..salbabida(ano po ang English ng salbabidang bilog)…takbo dito, takbo duon,..syempre panic to the max ang lahat….sa isang panig ng papalubog na barko,..isang babaeng pinoy ang nag dadasal ng malakas at nag sasabing..santa maria ina ng awa kaawaan mo kami..san jose de Labrador..tulungan mo kami..san pedrong matulungin kami’y saklolohan…san Mateo kami’y pag milagrohan…napansin ito ng kapitan at galit na nagsabing…ano kaba?...lulubog na nga tayo nagtatawag ka pa?!!!!!---hehehe---(gets po bah)…..

Kakatuwa di po ba,..but if we are to look at the story you would find a bit of reality..pag aralan po natin…

Ang barko po ay nag signify ng ating buhay na nag lalayag..kadalasan ay tahimik at payapa pero dumadating ng walang pasabi ang pagsubok..ang problema..kagaya ng barko na tumama sa isang iceberg..at syempre once problems came..we as humans has this tendency to react, react calmly or react aggressively..andyan yung naguguluhan at nag tatanong…karma ko ba ito??? Mabait naman ako..wala naman akong inargabyado..bakit nagkakaganito?....we as Christians are not exempted to this life's problems, trial at minsan persecution..ang maganda nga lang we have the Bible to look at kung ano ba ang dapat nating maging reaction when this things came..at sabi sa James 1:2 – consider it pure joy when you are under trials…ulitin po natin..consider it pure JOY…ang galing ano po..problemado ka na..but you have to be JOYFUL pa..that’s what the Bible says…be JOYFUL even when your in trial…pansinin po natin..di po sinabi na be HAPPY..but be JOYFUL..happiness po kasi is dependent on an event, a person or a thing..the sad part is all of this things fade kaya pag wala na yung object to be happy with malungkot ka na..while JOY po kasi is not the absence  of war, famine, problems, trials or persecution in our life but the presence of JESUS..kaya po JOY kasi it means Jesus On You..when Jesus is in us, we can face everything, even sad & troubles days with Joy in our heart..Amen…

Another reality on the above story is that when problems and trials came, we tend to call, relatives and friends..tao po ang una nating nilalapitan..tawag kay mama, kay papa kaya tito, kay tita, kay brother or sister para humingi ng tulong..it is not bad but it is also not good because this are also people…kagaya nung storya sa taas..kung sino sinong santo na ang tinawag…minsan ganun po tayo..yung iba nga literal na santo na ang tinatawag…pero naisip ko lang? halos lahat ng santong nabanggit ay taga Israel at ang salita nila ay Hebrew..sa tingnin nyo po ba ay maiintindihan kau nyan? Di po sila all powerful na kagaya na ating Panginoong Jesus..at kung di po nila kau naiintindihan..sino po kaya ang nakaka intindi…please be reminded that this so called saints are also persons…and that there is nowhere in the bible saying na pwede silang dasalan..at isa pang truth are that these saints are already dead..at sabi Deutoronomy 18:10-12  Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,  or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.  Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you…masakit mang sabihin but God is not pleased when you talk to dead people, praying pa kaya?..kaya when you know somebody who prays to this saints remind them of this verse…

Pero sabi din po ni God sa psalms 50:15 call me in your days of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory…yan po ang tama..Let’s call God..Bible po ang nagsabi nyan..call Him on your days of trouble for He cares for you…so whenever we are on a distress or in a problem,,..let’s call God..yan po ang tamang gawin..maging sa problema, gusto ni God una pa din siya..nakasunod na po tayo sa commandment nya, na glorify pa po natin siya...at hindi po kung sino sino ang inuuna natin…remember 1^st Cor 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
